How to start or stop a profile
Multilogin lets you run two types of profiles:
- Mobile profiles: use Android cloud phones to run mobile apps on real devices
- Browser profiles: use Mimic or Stealthfox cores to run websites safely
Here's how to start or stop them ⬇️
For one profile
- Go to the “Profiles” page from the top menu
- Use the selector in the left sidebar to switch between “Mobile” and “Browser”
- Click “Start” or “Stop” next to a profile
For multiple profiles
- Go to the “Profiles” page from the top menu
- Use the selector in the left sidebar to switch between “Mobile” and “Browser”
- Select several profiles using checkboxes
- Click “Start” or “Stop” in the top menu
What happens next
After you start a profile:
- Mobile profile: once it opens, billing starts per minute and you’ll see a live feed from a real cloud phone
- Browser profile: once it opens, you’ll land on the Multilogin start page where you can check your fingerprint breakdown
Mobile profiles are billed by the minute, so they make the most sense for mobile app-specific work, not general browsing.
After you stop a profile:
- Mobile and browser profiles (cloud): your session data syncs automatically to the server
- Browser profiles (local): data stays on your device and isn’t accessible elsewhere
If you’re working with a team, stick to cloud profiles so everyone can access the same data. Learn more about storage options in the article Cloud and local storage in Multilogin.
